| dc.description.abstract | This article explores the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in tourism to promote the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy through online learning platforms, virtual and augmented reality, gamification, big data, and mobile learning. ICT can enhance tourism to become sustainable tourism. This article reviews current practices, presents strategies and case studies at both global and local levels, and identifies challenges and opportunities. Strategic recommendations for policies and the best practices focusing on supporting the adoption of ICT for sustainable tourism development through constructive learning methods are presented as well. The review highlights the transformative potential of ICT in aligning tourism with BCG principles to achieve sustainable tourism.
