This study investigated the effect of rice husk ash or bagasse ash on the properties of expanded clay, for the experiment, the raw materials included clay with added rice husk ash or bagasse ash (0-30 % by volume) that were Fired at variable temperatures of 900 and 1000 0C. The results show that. The added rice husk ash and firing temperature of 900 0C showed the best properties for density, porosity, water absorption, conductor electricity and pH, equal to 1.28 g/cm3 21.10%, 35.60%, 0.14 dS/m and 6.97, respectively. The added bagasse ash and firing temperature of 900 0C showed the best properties for density, porosity, water absorption, conductor electricity and pH, equal to 1.61 g/cm3 34.70 %, 25.30%, 0.13 dS/m and 7.50 respectively. First, second, and third level headings (first level heading). 2018 Author(s).
